AmCham urges members to work together and provide all-out support for yesterday's devastating earthquake in Qinghai!

We urge members to work together and provide all-out support for yesterday’s devastating earthquake in Qinghai—it is our obligation as guests in China and as fellow humans

To ensure the quickest possible response, we encourage members to give directly to trustworthy charitable organizations

Dear Members,

As you are undoubtedly aware, a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province early yesterday morning. The event itself and the ensuing aftershocks have caused hundreds of casualties and thousands more injuries.

As we have with previous disasters on the Mainland, we are encouraging friends and members to aid rescue attempts and provide materiel relief by donating funds and supplies directly to qualified charitable organizations, particularly those with whom you have worked in the past.

So that we can better measure the allocation of efforts among our membership use this information to provide feedback for targeted efforts, please keep us informed of your activities in the coming days and weeks by contacting Ms. Bridget Wu, who can be reached at:
